Hey Everyone!

I am doing great! I think I missed telling you last week but I have hit my 6 month mark. Crazy right? I only have 3/4 of the time left. Better get a move on and work even harder
Oh man, last week of the Transfer. Exciting is it not? I have been here in English for almost a whole transfer. I have quite enjoyed it. The area is doing good.
We got Matt back on date, for the 14 of February, as well as still working hard with Suzie. We also have a IA progress to the point of going to the Temple, with her RC son and NM husband, for baptisms for her first time. Hopefully we can go with her for that. We will see. Fingers crossed.
I also gave a talk in Church. It went pretty good. I talked about the Book of Mormon and why it is important and the blessings we get from having and using it in our homes! It was crazy my companion and I had to fill like 45 minutes with a intermediate hymn. He only spoke like 12 minutes. So I had to try and extend mine, it wasn't that bad but I only got to like 18 minutes. So Sacrament meeting got out like 10 minutes early. Which everyone else was happy about.
This week has been amazing! I just love being a missionary! Seattle is pretty cool as well! Still cold and wet. Lots of rain.... I don't know how I feel about that. I'll probably end up liking it like the last week I am here. Also, last week I totally cut my finger open... Not sure if I have said that before. But it wasn't that bad. I am just glad I am in an English area when it happened. Haha!
Anyway! I love you all! And I will probably email you next week!

Blog Letter:

Hey Everyone! How's it hanging? I am doing AWESOME! I love the work. This week I actually got to talk in a "Great to be Eight" meeting, which isn't as exciting as a real baptism. But it was pretty fun. I got string cheese out of it so that is a bonus.

As for the weather we also had a few wet days... Which walking around in was not the funnest. I got pretty wet. I think the worst, meaning wettest, day just happened to be the day we had to go tracting for like 6 hours... It was a long day.

The mission is going pretty well. Still both of our closest investigators are still off date for silly reasons. We are working with them. AHH! So difficult. But we did find a few more people to teach this week so that is good. We hope to start working with them and get them on-date soon!

Also this week. It was pretty cool. I got to use some of my Tagalog to teach. Which really means we were teaching and I kinda awkwardly put in some of the few words I know. But I am also picking up a little Arabic, Lao, and Taiwanese. All of which are super hard and I can almost remember how to say hello in. Don't ask me to write it at all. That is crazy.

As for sports, we had Zone sports day and played Soccer, which I like to think my footwork is getting a little bit better. I did juke some people while we were playing. It is probably the dance coming out in me.

Well, I am now thinking about maybe shorting the scripture I am working on memorizing. But, we'll see. I am doing good. I love you all dearly and I can't wait to tell you all about my Mission! Later!

Hey Everyone!

How is it going?

I am amazing as always. You know me! I will say I have missed all of you dearly this last week. More so then usual. Interesting right?

Well, the work is still progressing. I haven't messed it up too bad yet. As for the missionaries in our Zone today we started a health contest. A BMI/Body fat thingy. Mine right now is pretty good actually. my BMI is 21.24 and I only have 14.95% body fat. So that is good right? I have actually picked up 15ish pounds I weigh about 160 now. Getting Jacked.

Anyway back to the work. We have two on date for Baptism on the 23rd if I didn't say that last time. They are both still looking good.

I will say in this new English mission program thingy we ride the bus a lot and that is always an interesting time. Lots of different types of people. Have had some interesting experiences there and then again walking is always fun. Walk. Walk. Walk. So much! I miss our car. (From ASL)

So this Stake had Stake conference this week end and man was that good! I loved it. Talked a lot about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith. Such crazy stuff. I love it! We had Elder Hanson of the 70's come. We were supposed to have Elder Echohawk come but he was busy... So sad I really like him.

So being in an English area I have to relearn English. haha. You know me, probably take the better part of my life to learn it. It is rough.

The weather has been kind to us so that is good. Not too cold.

Well, I think that is all for now. Y'all need to ask more questions. But I still LOVE YOU ALL! Yes... Even you.

Elder Galloway was transferred to an English speaking rotation in Seattle.  Maybe a couple of transfers.. We'll see.

Hey all y'all.

To quote Elder Webb, "How's it hanging?"

I am doing good. Well, more like FREAKIN' AWESOME. I just love being a missionary so many good experiences.

The English program is doing good. I love it almost as much as I love ASL. It is quite faster in pace than ASL but nothing is perfect.... Nah. It is awesome as well. Lots more tracting, which I feel like I was born to do. Just so much fun.

Like I said last week my companion is Elder Enos. Name sign "Elder Prayer", give ya three guess why that is, and the first two don't count. (Heh, little Mormon joke for you there.) and he is the district leader so that is fun helping out with that. We have a great district and look forward to improving on it.

Anyway, we have like a billion investigators... Okay, maybe like 5 or 6. But a billion potentials. So... Yeah, Crazy. I love it.

New Year's was amazing as well. A few extra hours of sleep so that is good. Sleep is always good, and food! Did I mention food. English has so much from members.

Well, I also found out that I'm not half bad at soccer. I am not good enough to play with the college league, which is basically where I was playing because we have a few potentials that are college level and I am not quite that good. Anyway I prefer Basketball. Which I am still not very good at, but shhhhh. Do not need to mention that.

Well, I think that is it for this week. Talk to you next week. Love you all! Keep on Keepin' on.

Hey Everyone!

How is your Christmas season? Still lots of Santa? Something I have noticed. Santa is just Satan with the letters in different places. Not sure if that means anything but both tend to take away from Christ.

Sooo.. Yeah, interesting thing. I am doing well. It is awesome being a missionary. But at the same time it is ridiculously hard. So hard. We actually have a few more potential investigators so that looks promising.

We have somewhat set up plans for Christmas so that is good.

We have been meeting a lot more people and just getting ourselves known which is always a good thing in the Deaf world. We had out first basketball event this last Friday that went pretty good it should grow pretty fast now. Basically we just play basketball and other games in the church with non-members and members to get them in the church so they can feel the spirit and ask questions and stuff like that.

The weather is still pretty good. Lots of rain... Tons of rain. It is alright. Not as bad for driving now. I almost a pro. Puddles mean nothing... Don't worry I'm still a very conscious and safe driver. Mostly.

Farther into the bright side I got to go to both Buffalo Wild wings and Olive Garden this week for a LA's birthday. I have never been to BWW before and I have to say it is an interesting place. Not sure it fits my fancy if you catch my drift. OG on the other hand was pretty good. Not a whole lot of food but I liked it.

Some of the words from a favorite hymn I think to share:

1. Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in thee;
Let the water and the blood,
From thy wounded side which flowed,
Be of sin the double cure,
Save from wrath and make me pure.

I really like this song, it is not hard to see why. Just remember on which Rock the church is built and the celebration of his birth a long time ago. I am thankful he came and died for me. I plan for live for him.

"He died to make men Holy Let us live to make men free!"

Well, What are you waiting for?

Blog letter;

Dearest Mother,

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I TOTALLY FORGOT YOUR BIRTHDAY! I mean I didn't forget but I just didn't say anything! BUT STILL!!!!!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Thanks for being my mother! YOU ROCK! Hope that helps..... ;)

Hey everyone! How is it going? How is December? Still focused on the true meaning? Give ya a hint, the first half-ish of the word Christmas.... Anyway, I'm doing good!

So the reason I am emailing late is because today is Temple day! I got to go to the temple for the first time in forever! It was Awesome. I miss working there. But they didn't have Asl for my companion! I mean they had subtitles but no interpreter! We will have to be more clear next time! But it is all good. We figured it out... Sorta.. Anyway!

We finally got an investigator this week! George! So that is exciting we have had a lesson with him and we will see how it goes from here.

As for the weather well, it is alright. Lots of rain. The roads tend to have puddles on them so that is always a nice surprise.

OH! I made bread this week! It was pretty good!

Despite the cold weather and the rain and all the other bad things in the world then life is looking up. I really like my mission and this is starting the fifth month of it! I only have like 18 left! AHH! That is scary fast how much it goes by. There is a quote that says

"Don't count the minutes, make the minutes count!"

Which is pretty clear. There is no time to waste! I am not getting any younger nor greener. I hope you all enjoy this Christmas season! I like it! See you around. (In about a year and a half) Love you all! Catch ya on the flip side.

Keep Keep! Elder Galloway!
